Que continúe la celebración! The Spring 2026 issue of the Concordia Historical Institute Quarterly (Volume 99, Number 1) commemorates 125 years of Lutheran mission work in Latin America. This issue continues the celebration initiated in the last issue of the CHIQ (Volume 98, Number 4).
ARTICLES
The first article is by Arthur and Eva Rickman, entitled, “Remember, Repent, Rejoice: Twenty-five Years of LCMS Mission Work in Panama”.
The second article is by Samuel Pérez Herrera, entitled, “The History of God’s Mission Through the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod in Mexico”.
The third and last article is by Martin Teigen, entitled, “La Misión Luterana del Perú”.
BOOK REVIEWS
The first review, by Ken Schurb, is for “Seminex Remembered” by Edward H. Schroeder, edited by Michael Hoy.
The second and last review, by Joel L. Pless, is for “Christ Through Us: A Pictorial History of the Wisconsin Synod 1850-2025” by John A. Braun and Joel D. Otto.
The Concordia Historical Institute Quarterly is sent to all members of the Institute. Single copies for issues published during the past three years are $10.00, with issues older than three years at $4.00. Shipping and handling are extra for back issues.
