1970 Frederick Henry Stephen Hassold, LCMS missionary to New Zealand, died (b. 22 January 1882, Huntington, Indiana). He was educated at Concordia College (Fort Wayne, Indiana) and Concordia Seminary (Saint Louis, Missouri) and went as a missionary to New Zealand in 1905.
